The Awakened Fate Ultimatum (PS3)
A sequel to NIS' The Guided Fate Paradox, The Awakened Fate Ultimatum is due for release over in Japan on the 25th of September, and was recently announced by NIS America for localization in Europe and North America in 2015.
Several years after a certain revolution came to pass, and the powerful Satanael was defeated, the devils were still dominant in their constant war against the angels. Meanwhile, a certain Celestia was resorting to guerilla warfare to survive. They focused on researching a way to create a "God" to use as their ultimate weapon against the devils. After creating the "Fate Awakening Crystal," which can turn a human into a God, the angels could only wait for the day they found someone who was compatible with it...
One day in the Human World, a boy is attacked by a group of devils on his way home from school. He is stabbed through the heart, but as he is dying, he gets saved by a mysterious girl, and wakes up in an unknown location — Celestia. The Beast's Lair Trainer School - A General Pokemon Information Thread
So, here a thread about general Pokemon information. If you have any doubt about breeding, IVs, EV training, items, moves, moveset etc etc, this is the right place to ask your question or look for previous info given!
I'll start with.. the beginning (of building a team): Breeding

Note: In this example, we will be breeding for a Fennekin with 31/x/31/31/31/31 IVs.

We see that the child has inherited HP, Attack and Special Defense from its father, and Defense and Speed from its mother. The Special Attack stat has not been unherited and has instead been randomly generated.
Since we don't desire this IV spread, reset your game, reject the egg, and then save. Bike around for a new egg. Take it, hatch it, and check IVs. Repeat this until you get the right IVs (the one stat you don't care about is not inherited.)

There you have it, a flawless Pokemon! The chances of not inheriting the state you don't care about are 1 / 6, and the chances of that stat being 31 and 1/31. Therefore, you can get a 5 IV Pokemon within a very short amount of time (1/6) or a 6 IV Pokemon in a still very short amount of time (1/32 of all eggs).
To test a newly hatched Pokemon's IVs, give it rare candies until it's lvl 20, or 30. Even 10 can work. Then plug its stats into an IV calculator. Then reset your game to get your candies back. Rare candies can be bought with Pokemiles.

His eyes felt the size of dinner plates as it towered over them. At least a hundred and fifty meters of insane, solid gold Dragon, standing on two legs. Its wings spread across entire city blocks as it stood between the hospital and Godzilla.
The MUTO behind the hospital let out a pitiable roar as it tried to crawl away, but the king of monsters’ eyes were no longer upon it. Something flashed in them. Recognition of an ancient past jolted the beast awake and it roared, the sound shattering windows and forcing the soldiers further down behind the tipped vehicle.
Then the return, booming, shuddering roar, that even though they couldn’t see him could only mean one thing. The King was charging. They had to move. They’d be right in the impact zone. How could anything, even a beast of this size, stop sixty thousand tons of charging behemoth? it was impossible.
In response the dragon just spread it’s wings and there was a strange high pitched ululating whine. It was almost like a child’s memory of flying saucers and… something… something no one could put their finger on.
He put his hand to the car, about to push off when something glaringly wrong stared him in the face. The car moved under the simple pressure of his palm. With eyes no less wide than before, and as the other soldiers began getting up and calling to him, he put both hands to the car’s frame and with a slight effort a ton and a half of metal moved upwards. He gasped and let it drop to the ground. The car landed lightly on it’s wheels while Martins called out from the crowd, his leap having rammed him into a nearby wall.
That wasn’t possible. That couldn’t be happening. With a glance up another thought struck him. If a car now weighed nothing more than a feather, then by comparison how much would that thing weigh?
“Wait…” he started, but never got a chance to finish.
With a flick of its legs and one powerful beat of those mighty pinions the dragon took off towards Godzilla as if it weighed nothing, for maybe it did. The three block distance between them suddenly becoming all too short as the titans closed upon one another.
Gazing upon the video monitor at the base, his Japanese competitor standing beside him and looking back and forth from scientist to screen, the stubborn one just gasped in horrified agony.
“No, not again… not another Ghidorah…”
In a combined rate that ate up ground at a worrying speed the pair of monsters closed. The King furrowed his brow, thrust forward his arms and leaned into the charge, determined to get the most possible weight on the collision. The dragon, his wings and arms spread as he charged, making him look like the far larger of the two, had a different idea. Shifting it’s massive shoulders it caught one clawed foot on the ground. Its spread wings shifted and filled as if by some impossible wind. Then with a grace impossible in such a creature it sidestepped out of Godzilla’s way in mid charge.
The brains of every scientist in the control room broke, badly.
The size difference between the two became more obvious as Godzilla, for a moment, stood in the dragon’s shadow. The King came up just to the dragon’s shoulders, or maybe a hair above. One eye turned toward the golden dragon there was nothing Godzilla could do but try to understand, no counter he could call on so quickly as his foe reached out to him with it‘s clawed hands, grabbing him while it‘s massive wings all but tented the saurian juggernaut.
On the ground something struck the soldier as the car regained it’s weight and bounced fitfully in front of him. He’d never seen a monster move like that. Not the speed, not the agility, but the precision. That was no beast. That thing moved like a human. He even recognized the technique.
“It’s going to throw!” he shouted, pulling his nearest fellows with him, “Get DOWN!”
The group cowered in the gigantic new shadow passing over them. The children in the hospital rooms, still unable to be rescued, screamed with glee. Godzilla’s eyes went wide as something that never should have happened, never should have been possible became reality… and he cleared them all by a wide margin, landing almost a mile further out into the city with a sound like all the hammers of Asgard smashing down at once.
No one noticed, somewhere further beyond the city, in the far valley, the wounded MUTO screaming and thrashing as a viscous red fluid climbed it’s torso and reduced it to nothing but steam and goop.

Re: Monster
It's basically some sort of weird love child between Toriko and The Gamer, with a dash of Berserk and a lot of cannibalism. So, this guy Tomokui Kanata dies after getting killed by a crazy ex-girlfriend and ends being reborn as a goblin of sorts. However, Kanata remembers his past and retained some of his abilities from his previous life. That includes the power to absorb the powers of others by eating them.
As Kanata rises in the ranks of the new society he lives in, and adjusts to the fairly horrible things this new world has to throw at him he becomes infamous among his tribe and eventually leads them. That's just the beginning. Anyway, the light novels as usual are being translated too.

I'll kick things off.
What if Kiritsugu had actually taught Shirou how to use magic and the two learned of his Reality Marble and skill with Projection magic?
Could you imagine Shirou having access to Unlimited Blade Works from the start of the story? Things certainly would have been quite different since Shirou would have gone from the weakest Master to the one of the most dangerous (Kirei would probably be even more dangerous). He probably would have also recognized the boundary field around his school like Rin did and would have been able to resist Ilyasviel's mind control which would have meant that entire sequence in the Einzbern forest would have never happened.
Of course, this also means that the sex scenes might not have happened. Since Shirou would still have a very limited supply of mana, there could be a time where Saber needs a lot of mana and thus sex would be the only option. The first sex scene in the Fate route likely wouldn't happen but the second more than likely would (especially since it was initiated for romantic reasons). The scene with Rin would also likely have played out for the same reasons as it did originally.Can't say about the one(s) in the Heaven's Feel route since since I have yet to read it.
I would totally read a story based off of that concept.

Kitchen Disasters
Basically, what are the worst things you have ever bore witness to and/or created in the kitchen.
It doesn't have to be your kitchen but you have to had tasted the confection and know without a shadow of a doubt that it's a crime against cooking. Pictures are cool but not necessary.
I once tried to make a jelly and banana sandwich but I made the mistake of reducing the banana to a fine puree in a blender that was previously used to blend some garlic and tuna. Someone to forgot to clean it before I used it and the result was... something.
It was like a salmon that sprung from Satan's bunghole is what I could compare to in terms of taste. Despite the fact it was a banana. Add the grape jelly and it just went down like some sort of gelatinous squid that was still alive and screaming for dear life as it attacked my mouth in a vengeance.

Fate Hollow Ataraxia - how avoid locking out unseen content?
I am not asking for a walkthrough (google gave that in 0.02 seconds, and its pure: do exactly this in exactly that order, and no explanation WHY), and game is not fully translated yet anyway.
I am, however curious, in what way should I play to avoid having to restart from 0 due to certain events being locked away?
Kagetsu Tohya allowed to restart after completing main storyline while keeping unlocked scenes and gallery pictures, does FHA allows this?
Should I always leave "?" or/and "!" marked events for last?
Any advice as in "don't go to <place> on <day> until you've unlocked everything else"?
I am gonna restart once I hit untranslated text, but how I restart in a way that will mean I wont have to restart for third time?

Is it possible for westerners to be amused by Japanese OTAKU culture
First of all, I'm Korean. The Korean language is very similar to Japanese that when I see things translated in Japanese, I virtually feel the same as a Japanese would feel... I guess.
However, could people, who do not live in a country that use kanji, feel amusing when they watch Japanese manga or animation?
I mean, I think Japanese manga and animation contains things that makes you "WHAT?!" because of cultural differences...
And especially animations nowadays there are some many so-called "nichijou-animation" which I think westerners could find it difficult to understand the amusing part of the story because of cultural differences.
So I wonder, why are there so many OTAKU in the United States, South America, and the rest of the world?
So my question is
1. don't you find it boring because you don't understand.
2. do you think it is possible for non-kanji-using asian-people to be amused by Japanese OTAKU culture. If so, why?

Bonds of Fate
I got this idea when reading 'Clarent Blood Arthur' by King of Beasts. This is what i've done so far for the first chapter but i will be editing and adding more on so...
The battle was over, as was the war. The two champions stood at the edge of their battle field, saying their goodbyes and last words.
"Shirou, take this," Saber placed her hand on her chest before a flash of golden light appeared around her chest then vanishing as soon as it appeared.
Withheld in her hand was her golden sheath, its intricate, blue designs perfectly complimenting the golden base. Avalon,'the ultimate defense' as said by the King of Heroes. Saber slowly stepped towards Shirou, hands presenting the golden sheath of protection. Giving a faint smile, she held up the sheath closer to Shirou before saying,"Shirou, you will need it, I am not here to protect you as your sword as of now, so please," Sabe- no Arturia peered sincerely into Shirou's eyes, shining emerald orbs begging him to listen to her carefully,"Take Avalon to ensure your health and for when I am not there." Shirou slowly nodded, his mind still trying to keep up with the events which had happened and the unavoidable ones yet to come. He allowed Arturia to place Avalon inside of him. She then took a small breath before continuing,"Shirou, there is one more thing i need to tell you," tightly grasping Ilya, Shirou, his mind now caught up with what was happening, prepared himself for what was to come,"Shirou...I love you."
Those words were all it took for Shirou's dream count to increase by one more.
Chapter 1
Shirou Emiya,winner of the fifth Holy Grail War and now father of one. Yes, Shirou was now indeed a father. Shortly after Saber vanished, when returning to the front of the temple, Shirou found a little girl. She had the form of a 5 year old and had black and white hair down to her back(like arturia's), both colors equally balanced to look like zebra stripes on her head. Shirou pondered abit about why she was lying there to begin with. But instead of, like a normal person, continuing on his victory stride home, Shirou's 'hero instincts' acted up causing his body to slowly change directions and to begin to walk over to the girl as if on reflex. Upon arriving a few inches from the alabaster-skinned girl, Shirou crouched down and slowly laid Ilya on the ground. He attempted picking up the pale girl, but as soon as he made contact with her, he felt her freezing cold skin against his. He shook off the cold and gently rested her on his arm which, accidentally, woke her up.
She had piercing amber eyes with hints of red here and there. The small girl innocently looked into Shirou's equally amber eyes then curiously tilted her head to the side like a bird does when it sees something peculiar.
"Who?" she asked softly. Her voice, befitting her appearance, was very childish and sweet sounding. It had some fear and sadness sewn in it which surprised Shirou a bit but only for a split second.A warm smile was plastered on Shirou's face as he answered her one word question.

"Ok Feir, you can come with me." an adorable smile made it's way to Feir's face as she nodded in return and followed Shirou back home.
Hence fort, Feir started living at the Emiya household and 2 years later, 5 months prior to these events, he adopted her after getting into college. This was because Ilya wanted to be the only little sister, so, what could a man do?
In the two years after the fifth Holy Grail War, alot happened. Apart from Shirou and Feir drawing closer, most relationships stayed the same. Taiga and Sakura continued going to the Emiya residence at breakfast and dinner. Rin however, didn't stay in Fuyuki. Before graduation, she had moved to London, to Clock Tower to be more specific to join the Magus' Association. She had stayed the second owner of Fuyuki but gave the authority over to Ilya(she is the most responsible magus). Rin want back on holidays to visist but mostly stayed in London. In London, Rin met Wav- Lord Elmeloi II and over the months, her ranking in the assoctiation rose to one of the top 25 magi. She ranked really high especially when she had only been there for two years.
Before Rin left, Ilya's illness was found out and Rin, Shirou & Sakura helped to save her. At the dawn of the news, Rin was truly suprised but cleverly thought up a plan to save her - get her a new body. Proceeding on with her plan, Shirou, Rin, Sakura and Illya travelled to the Einzbern Castle to steal a new body. Thievery wasn't something Rin would do but for one of her dearest friends... there is no choice. Once they were there, they were stopped by Sella & Leyseritt who, at the end of the battle, were eventually persuaded into helping as it was their duty to protect Ilya. A new homunculus body was prepared for Ilya and with the knowledge and magecraft of the Einzberns, Sella and Leyseritt transferred Ilya's soul into the new body. Thanks to Rin and Shirou,Ilya had the body of a simple human. Avalon's powers had increased her life span incredibly. She would live a normal human and die a normal human.
Apart from the problem with Ilya, one more thing had to be taken care of - Matou Zouken. After saving Ilya, Sakura, who was a vessel for the grail, was being greatly affected by the burden of being the only vessel as Ilya was no longer connected to it. This was also eventually found out by Rin, Shirou & Ilya as Sakura began to act strangely. Sakura, with no other choice, told Shirou and the others of Zouken. As usual, Shirou tried to save Sakura and ended up defeaing Zouken, not alone of course. Rin and Ilya had helped and the one who finished off Zouken was Feir. That was when Shirou found out Feir was a mage. Her powers will not be revealed now, but it will...soon...
After all that, as you know already, Rin went to Clock Tower to join the Magus' that had happened but in the end, Shirou never got over Arturia. It is sad but true and that day she left, he promised himself to somehow bring her back-no matter what. He had also wanted her to meet Feir, the mini-magus he had met just after she disappeared. Shirou may have not known it, but his dream wasn't going to be just a dream much longer...

Bonds of Fate Prologue
The battle was over, as was the war. The two champions stood at the edge of their battle field, saying their goodbyes and last words.
"Shirou, take this," Saber placed her hand on her chest before a flash of golden light appeared around her chest then vanishing as soon as it appeared.
Withheld in her hand was her golden sheath, its intricate, blue designs perfectly complimenting the golden base. Avalon,'the ultimate defense' as said by the King of Heroes. Saber slowly stepped towards Shirou, hands presenting the golden sheath of protection. Giving a faint smile, she held up the sheath closer to Shirou before saying,"Shirou, you will need it, I am not here to protect you as your sword as of now, so please," Sabe- no Arturia peered sincerely into Shirou's eyes, shining emerald orbs begging him to listen to her carefully,"Take Avalon to ensure your health and for when I am not there." Shirou slowly nodded, his mind still trying to keep up with the events which had happened and the unavoidable ones yet to come. He allowed Arturia to place Avalon inside of him. She then took a small breath before continuing,"Shirou, there is one more thing i need to tell you," tightly grasping Ilya, Shirou, his mind now caught up with what was happening, prepared himself for what was to come,"Shirou...I love you."
Those words were all it took for Shirou's dream count to increase by one more.
Chapter 1
Shirou Emiya,winner of the fifth Holy Grail War and now father of one. Yes, Shirou was now indeed a father. Shortly after Saber vanished, when returning to the front of the temple, Shirou found a little girl. She had the form of a 5 year old and had black and white hair down to her back(like arturia's), both colors equally balanced to look like zebra stripes on her head. Shirou pondered abit about why she was lying there to begin with. But instead of, like a normal person, continuing on his victory stride home, Shirou's 'hero instincts' acted up causing his body to slowly change directions and to begin to walk over to the girl as if on reflex. Upon arriving a few inches from the alabaster-skinned girl, Shirou crouched down and slowly laid Ilya on the ground. He attempted picking up the pale girl, but as soon as he made contact with her, he felt her freezing cold skin against his. He shook off the cold and gently rested her on his arm which, accidentally, woke her up.
She had piercing amber eyes with hints of red here and there. The small girl innocently looked into Shirou's equally amber eyes then curiously tilted her head to the side like a bird does when it sees something peculiar.
"Who?" she asked softly. Her voice, befitting her appearance, was very childish and sweet sounding. It had some fear and sadness sewn in it which surprised Shirou a bit but only for a split second.A warm smile was plastered on Shirou's face as he answered her one word question.

Sengoku Basara Judge End
subs are out (not official because fuck Funimation) and as promised I made this thread and I shall comment every episode even if I'm the only one in this thread
the episode was fine. it explained some backstory changes from the previous seasons which I assume are to match the games ( I wish I could have access to anything besides the PSP games). Mitsunari curbstomped Date and Kojurou and Ieyasu and Hideyoshi had a fisfight that ended with Ieyasu's victory and Hideyoshi's death. naturally Mitsunari is angry when he finds out and , to many Fujo's delight , he brought Ieyasu's face to kissing range of his to shout at Ieyasu. all in all nice episode

Tsukihime art mod?
Hey guys, I just got my hands on the Tsukihime VN, and I was wondering if there had been any people who have remastered the character art or done other remixing/improvements for the game that I should consider installing? I know TM is taking their time with the Tsukihime remastering but if some dedicated fans have taken the time to do it themsleves I'd love to enjoy it.

Rance series
Didn't notice a thread specifically for Rance stuff though I admit I wasn't looking very hard for one.
Currently replaying Sengoku Rance since bored and Rance IX recently came out. Just wondering if anyone else remembers enough about specifics in this game so that I can once and for all stop wasting my time on the early turns, such as whether or not Ikkyuu can be caught in the first battle you see him in while still working for the Ashikaga house. I'm somewhat convinced that after 50+ failed attempts he can't be caught until a second battle but what little information available on the alicesoft wiki doesn't make it a clear cut case.

Welcome to Fuyuki City, home to the esoteric ritual called Heaven's Feel, where magi battle to the death with the spirits of legendary heroes at their side in the quest to gain the Holy Grail.
It is January 16, 2000 AD, two weeks prior to the beginning of the Fifth Grail War. Those who know of the ritual (the Association, the Einzberns, the Tohsaka, and Makiri) have begun hasty preparations to head to Fuyuki City and summon a Servant, as the lure of a wish and nigh-infinite power is tempting beyond all reason.
But such has attracted the notice of other powers, and machinations beyond mundane understanding have been set into motion.
Premise:
You (a member of Beast's Lair) awaken to find yourself in a different body - that of one of the assigned masters of the Holy Grail War (or closely associated character), one month before the outbreak of battle. You are not entirely yourself, nor are you entirely the character whose body you wear, as something of a merger of minds has happened.
You possess whatever canonical knowledge and abilities the character did, PLUS anything your RL self might bring to the table, so make good use of the month you have to prepare for the war. Train, search for a catalyst, make friends and connections, dispatch your enemies - but be warned, should you go too far out of character, those around you may notice and the resident personality may intervene.
So open your magic circuit, and choose your partner. Put shape to mind, images to fantasy - know power, and become glorious.

*** Shinji may open his circuits via the Kariya method, but it will kill him by war's end.

On being out of character: You are a merger between you and the canon character, so you can do some things the character wouldn't within reason (like having a bit more restraint or such). Just don't do something extreme like having Shirou become an evil douche who lives to cause misery, ok? Use your judgement.
IMPORTANT! A number of new mechanics will be introduced to make things fairer and more interesting:
Personal Profile: Where you list out the abilities and skills *you the player* came with, as distinct from your host. Certain abilities may be shared, certain may only be used when you are in control (due to incompatibility), and most will affect the integration vs rejection level. Do you want to build yourself as similar to the host? Completely separate? Rely on cooperation and facilitate their strengths? Take mental resistance and attempt to dominate? The choice is yours! PM me for details.
Boons and Geases (non-magi): Pretty much lifted wholesale from Usandru's F/HG version on Spacebattles. As a special opportunity for those that need the reassurance of more Power or more Knowledge, it is possible to enter a Contract during the insertion, with whatever entity or force has brought you to Fuyuki. Such a Contract should be considered carefully, as they come with a cost that some may not be prepared to pay...
The Contract is such that any non-Magi may request a Boon, of Power or Knowledge. They will then be offered a Geas that they must accept to enter the Contract, with a collateral that will be taken should they fail. No collateral can be reused... except for one's life. Should the Geas be refused, no more Boons will be granted, though the previous ones will remain. Boons will stack, more giving appropriately greater advantages. Equally, the Geas will grow in difficulty, and the collateral must grow appropriately in worth as well. Specific Boon will have a higher cost...
Remember too that the Contract must be acceptable both for yourself and your host, or it may be rejected...
Gamechanger (magi): Magi, with their power levels, are not eligible for the boons and geas system, but may accept a Gamechanger, giving them an abilitythat grants significant power, with major in-world drawbacks. While there will be no geasa they are compelled to obey, rest assured there is a balance of a sort. Gamechangers will be offered to the player by the GM at the time of character selection and may include things such as demonic ancestry, possession by ancient vampiric wraiths or other such.
Ego Points - Integration vs Rejection: Since you are a foreign spiritual entity being transplanted into the vessel of your host, there are two risks to keep in mind. The first is complete rejection, where the host casts you out into the screaming Void, leading to player death. The second of course, is being subsumed by the host personality entirely and losing all individuality, again leading to payer death. They are two opposite sides of a spectrum, and can be affected by the actions you take, the abilities you hold, and the way you interact with the character. Note that the closer one is to rejection, the fewer abilities can be shared and less communication will take place. The closer one is to being subsumed, the easier it will be to draw upon the host's skills and abilities and vice versa...
With Ego Points (which regenerate each day and increase as you move towards rejection), you may be able to take control of an unwilling host for a time, boost it against a third party's attacks, or overcome the inte/share abilities, but the first moves you towards rejection, and the second and third towards full integration. Keep in mind that this is an increasingly unstable system as you move towards an extreme - the further you push a host in one direction, the larger the gains from any subsequent push in that direction...
Social/Concept Link: In the Nasuverse, who and what you Link yourself with is important. If you form a Link to a person , interactions with that person may be easier - and you may be able to push past certain limits when doing something for that person's sake (Shirou's attachment to Sakura, as an example). Similarly, you may Link to a concept or ideal (like...Swords or Justice) that grant bonuses to activities in line with those concepts, but penalize actions that go against them. Note that your host already has certain links and that having yours align with theirs will lead to synergies, while opposing ones may counterbalance.
Character Alternates: Given how by virtue of your participation, this Grail War itself has become an AU, I am willing to use certain AU traits for your hosts - usually in terms of specialized abilities or attitudes. Rough power level and ability will remain similar to canon. If these are available when you choose a character, I will PM you the variant names and brief description, and you may choose one if you wish.
